Wavelength

As part of a studio addressing the affordable student housing crisis, Wavelength reimagines the off-campus student living experience at the University of Miami. This project explores how thoughtful, sustainable design can provide accessible housing while fostering a sense of community and connection to the natural environment.

Inspired by the fluid and transformative movement of water, Wavelength reflects the flow of knowledge and personal growth that defines the student experience. The design emphasizes open-air spaces and abundant natural light, creating an atmosphere that encourages focus, relaxation, and inspiration.

Located in vibrant South Florida, where nature thrives year-round, the project seamlessly integrates indoor and outdoor spaces to maintain residents’ connection to the environment. This harmonious relationship with nature not only enhances wellbeing but also supports academic performance, providing a setting where innovation meets tranquility. With a focus on affordability, sustainability, and community, Wavelength offers students a dynamic, uplifting living environment that promotes both personal and academic growth.
